In the Heart of Kenya: Help Save Sakina Home for Girls
In the heart of Kenya, nestled within the embrace of hope and dreams, lies the Sakina Home and Education Center for Girls. This sanctuary, lovingly established by the Muslimahs for Change Foundation, has been a beacon of light for young orphan girls since its inception. Our journey began in 2018 when we purchased land to construct a safe haven for these vulnerable souls. By 2021, our dreams materialized as we opened the doors to 11 beautiful girls of varying ages, each with a unique story of resilience and hope.

Islamic literature is very important to us as it is our primarily focus that everyone has the correct understanding of Islam. We send relevant Islamic literature to all educational Institutes (universities, colleges, schools, celebrities, government officials and prisoners)
The material we send to schools are in order to assist the teachers, which provides them with practical information to help learn about Islam.
We also hand out our literature to those who visit us at exhibitions and seminars.

QURAN
Muslims believe the Qur’an is the direct words of God Almighty, revealed through angel Gabriel to Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
The Qur’an was then memorised by the Prophet Muhammed (peace be upon him), his companions and his followers. It was written down by scribes who cross-checked everything during the Prophet’s lifetime, not one word of 114 surah (chapters) has been changed over centuries.
The Qur’an is its whole entirety is incredibly unique as it contains the very same detailing that was revealed to Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) fourteen centuries ago.
It is the principle source of every Muslim’s faith and practice. It addresses all the subjects which concern us as human beings, including wisdom, doctrine, worship and law. However, this Qur’an’s basic theme is the relationship between God and His creation and at the same time providing guidelines for a just society, human conduct and equitable economic principles.
“ He (God) has sent down to you the Book (the Qur’an) with truth, confirming what was revealed before; And He sent down the Torah (of Moses) and the Gospel (of Jesus) before this as a guide in humankind; and He sent down the Criterion (the Qur’an).” (Qur’an 3:3-4)
“The revelation of the Book (this Qur’an) in which there is no doubt, is from the Lord of all that exists” (Qur’an 2:1-2).
